Squeeze to silence??

Just picked up the Pixel 7 to replace my aging Pixel 2 XL.

One of the great features (to me) of the Pixel 2 XL was the ability to silence the ringing phone by squeezing the sides of the pone
.
It was perfect for, when out to dinner and my phone started ringing, I could just slip my hand in my pocket and squeeze the phone to silence.

Have they removed this feature from the Pixels or am I missing it somewhere in settings?

Congratulations on your new phone. Yes there is no longer the squeeze feature on the newer phones. So if you have the phone on a table face up you can use the gesture to flip to SHH. Or if you have the phone in your pocket hitting any one of the buttons on the side, whether it be the power or the volume will mute the incoming call..
