St Louis Sprint 5G

Hi Everyone

Getting ready to upgrade my phone as I am on a flex lease. I am looking at either the S10+, the S10+ 5G, or one of the note phones.

My question is I know St Louis Metro was not in the original list of cities to get 5G for Sprint. Does anyone know when St Louis may receive 5G? I have been to several Sprint stores in the area and the store near me told me that 5G should be active in October but was not able to confirm that with the other stores or even other employees at this account.

I doubt Sprint will know until a few days before it goes live. Putting in the equipment and turning it on is no guarantee that it's going to work.

(And which 5G? The current frequencies? Which will work all over town. Or the 20-40GHz range? Which will only work in the vicinity of the microcells it's running in.)
