Staples cancelled my nexus order!

Yes it was charged you will receive the item. It was to prevent the hold charge from hanging on there.

yeah sorry! I am new to the forum and i just tried searching for info on this.... but i am really excited, I just ordered my first nexus phone and my nexus 7 this weekend after a long 5 years with iOS.. hopefully the change is good :D
 
sorry I meant I should have looked here first. :P well congatz on getting some android goodness. the galaxy nexus is an awesome phone I personally love mine so much. I just sold my galaxy tab 10.1 so Im excited about the nexus 7 too :D
 
Well I feel like a fool. I wrote their customer service an email telling them how unhappy I was that they cancelled my order without telling me. Although I must say listing the order as cancelled doesn't seem like the best way of accomplishing what they're trying to do.
 
your right... it scared the heck out of me and i was literally about to place an order on google play lol PHEW! :D
 
I had the "Researching" status too but then it changed to "Processing". Then it changed to "Cancelled", was pissed before I read this thread lol.
 
Now mine says canceled too. If it wouldn't be for this thread I would of freaked out. I hope things are still good as they say. They need to choose another word instead of "cancelled". Otherwise they will get many phone calls from angry/worried customers.

Mine says cancelled, and even though this pretty much offers the reasoning, I'll still be asking about it to confirm.
 
The funny thing is, despite their efforts to do all of this so the charge doesn't sit on a customer's card, my transaction has been on the card the whole time. As long as sometime next week and I have a Nexus in my hand I really don't care, but the whole thing just seems strange to me.

That's for freaking sure. I just checked on mine and saw it cancelled. I called their CS and was told they didn't expect to many people to order so their website went "wonky" (yes their words!) and so in order to fix their problem on THEIR end they canceled all their orders! And this is my/our fault how? So she tells me to call back on the 15th - it was supposed to be here on the 13th. I'm po'd to the max. There had to be a better way to handle this. So now the phone lines are prolly gonna be super busy so I won't be able to get through and then I'll be put back at the end of the line ... GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!
 
On the plus side, after I sorted out that "cancelled" nonsense with customer support - yup, definitely should have come here first hehe - I did get this nice little nugget of info:

As per our managment the 7/18 [estimated arrival date] date should be correct. The item is expected to go live on our site on 7/15 or 7/16. If it does go live 7/15 you could expect it a day sooner. As soon as the order is processed again, you will get a tracking number with an accurate shipping timeframe.

Thank you for this opportunity to respond to your inquiry.

So I (and presumably others) have to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Meh. Probably worth it.

Mine has been pending this whole time too. Whatever I don't care either as long as I get the tablet soon as promised.

Cancelled mine this afternoon. My hold order said i would receive on 7/13/12. Then i called to checkup. The sales tells me they're not receiving shipments till 7/12/12. Chances are i won't get it till next week. Then i called back because they sent another letter explaining the hold process showing cancelled orders. I called again this time i'm told that they wont get their stock till 7/15/12. I told them cancel me. It seems they are not even sure when they are going to be able to do anything. It will hit stores soon, or i rather just order from google and get it in a week.
