Staples cancelled my nexus order!

Just got this email from them reassuring about the shipping... i guess it was sent to everyone

As this is a pre-sale, the order number assigned when you pre-ordered (Staples order number above) will not provide valid tracking information and at some point will show a status of cancelled when tracked on Staples.com. We want to assure you we have reserved your Nexus and it will ship between July 12th and July 17th with a transit time of 1 - 3 business days. You will receive your order number that can be tracked when the product ships and your credit card will be charged at that time.

Me too. Originally had the 17th as delivery date (ordered it on the 9th after Google cancelled the order my wife placed and wouldn't resubmit it) so overall still on pace for expected timeframe. I am happy....albeit impatient!

Now maybe if we all think happy thoughts we can get all of the preorders to ship tomorrow, that way I stand of chance of getting mine before I leave town next week and we can all be happy!

I got that email today too. They probably are just sending it out now because of all the calls they must be getting. Which is why they should have sent that email out right away before they put our status to "cancelled". Of all the words to use, seriously what did they expect for us to just be like, "oh my order says cancelled, everything's fine".

It seems like the buzz around the rumor mill is that Staples won't begin shipping any orders until at least the 16th. I guess in hindsight I should have went with GS.

Congrats! Just out of curiosity, when did you pre-order? I haven't gotten a shipping email yet and in my Staples account it still says "cancelled." The funny thing is, the charge on my card never went away it's been "pending" ever since I placed the order.

I've had my expectations set for Wednesday or Thursday of next week anyway so if I get it on Monday like you, great. If not, I won't exactly be crying in my Cheerios over it. :'(

I placed my original order on the 8th. I did notice that although the email I got says the expected delivery is the 16th, as of right now it is listed as "processing", so that might change. Best of luck on receiving yours soon. If it were up to me we'd all get them now so we could enjoy them and no one would have to be left hanging.

That makes sense - I pre-ordered on the 10th, so Wednesday sounds likely for me. Thanks, and I wish it were up to you! I'm sure everyone else on the Play Store thread does too, because that's a weird situation. Oh well.

I placed my order around 3pm Eastern on 7/9 for delivery to my local store.

I received my confirmation at 2:41pm Eastern this afternoon for delivery on 7/17. My CC has been charged.

I'm not sure how much difference it will make but I'm in Knoxville, TN which is just a couple hours from Louisville, KY.

Just got the tracking number for my Nexus that I ordered on the 10th - will be here on Tuesday! Woohoo! Good thing I'm working from home next week.

I got an email earlier today that said I would get it Monday. However a representative called me several hours later to confirm my shipping address and tell me I would get it Tuesday instead. I ordered mine on the 9th.

Everyone check your email and be on the look out for confirmation phone calls otherwise your order may not go through. Mine was put on hold until I called the representative back because I had missed their first call.

I got an email from UPS MyChoice this morning with my tracking number, so it looks like my delivery date is definitely going to be Monday. Whatever date Staples listed in your order email should most likely end up being true.

UPS just came with the Nexus I ordered from Staples on the 9th. I just want to add that it was not packaged very well by UPS, disappointed with that. However the Nexus inside looks good.
