Start up screen locked - Battery module signal

Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it please?

The module is the one that came with the new phone when purchased. It has been back to LG but they refused to repair it or tell me what the problem was as they saw a tiny crack in the screen and stated that the warranty was now not vaild.

I believe it means that you have an unsupported module installed.

In particular, I read here LG’s latest ‘Hi-Fi Plus’ Feature may not play with your G5 in US that the Hi-Fi Plus module may not be supported on a G% purchased in the US.

Well, then, it sounds like a hardware problem as noted by many of the other threads I linked to. They all seem to end up with "Call for service" or "Return the phone to the place of purchase".
