Starting to lag

I have had absolutely no lag issues with my N8, but the real test will happen when we get our first big operating system "upgrade". I pray it won't downgrade the stellar performance of this phone.

I'm on AT&T so I doubt I'll ever see a major upgrade. Maybe a security update here and there but that's all I ever see. Carriers suck but they are a necessary evil unless you have a grand to shell out all at once for a phone. I definitely don't...just ask my wife. LOL

My note 8 is only a week old and it performs much better than my s7 edge did. but play music lags. it has done right from the start and I'm amazed if it works well on anyone's phone. occasional micro stutters in other as but otherwise impressive performance

The reason I passed.... iv'e owned a few Notes and a pair of 7s.... beautiful phones untill a few months. they start Lagging. this is no secrete !!!

Psssst....come here.....I'm going to tell you something that's not a secret.....all phones, computers etc will lag eventually lol. Not just a note. And what 7s. Are you talking about iPhone 7, s7, note7???

I'm having a gallery lag where it will stutter opening and closing pics. Anyone have a solution to this?

Do you by chance have the app "Bixby Remapper" installed? For some reason that app causes issues with the gallery.

I had a couple of issues with lag and freezing about 3 weeks ago. Found it was the Samsung+ app. Uninstalled it and have had zero issues since.

Every phones has it hip-cups. I noticing now that the apps installed on my phone doesn't run smoothly as it should be. I'm not sure if its the phone or the apps.

Many Galaxy Note8 phones are freezing when the contacts app is opened, even for texting and speed dial

Mines was during a call and a went to my home screen and it almost froze. Good thing I saw the 3 bullets on top to close it and rebooted the phone and it went back to normal.

Finally someone gets it. If it's a computer you can expect freezes and hiccups here and there. We have to reboot home computers all the time to get rid of hiccups, the blue screen of death, phones are no different. For phones, the note 8 and s8 series are far improved in how smooth it runs.

Not to mention that majority of the time the slow downs and freezes are app related.

I have no lag on my wife's or my note 8.
However you are absolutely right, at one time or another allllllll phone's experience some sort of lag or pause.

What has been successful for me is just rebooting phone's every morning.
All my phone's get a reboot once a day.
S6 edge plus never had lag.
My wife's had lag once in a while. But minor, nothing like Bootloop boogie

This note 8 is the best phone I ever owned, except my S6 edge plus. My
Moto G5 plus trap phone on point also, cannot complain about that phone at all.

No lag issues here at all. I do utilize device maintenance and close apps frequently. I'll reboot phone as well, once a week probably. Same thing with my gear s3, tablet, surface, etc.

I got mine from HongKong 6 weeks ago and have faced no issues at all. Absolutely perfect and smooth and fast... Best phone ever for me after having moved from iPhone to Windows and now the Note 8

Like any device, wouldn't you just reset it to cure it ? the Note8 has been a lot better than my s8+ was in terms of lag. The 6gb ram makes a huge difference. Only problems i've had is my Ford sync bluetooth can screw up the phone's bluetooth when it connects. My gear s3 will disconnect occasionaly when the ford sync connects to the phone. today i had to kill spotify to get it to relaunch and stream to the ford sync. I tend to have to have to reboot the ford sync system sometimes too. I don't blame the phone , i blame the sync. The phone works with all kinds of other bluetooth speakers just fine.

Nope... no issues.. Had the phone since day one. i usually reboot it once a week. But never a performance problem with this phone, and i use the crap out of it.
