Status bar and app colored font

[Android Central Question]

I have a new note 10+, the status bar on the home screen and the names of the apps under their widgets come in black. Incant see it with my background. Is there a way to change the color to white so I can see it better?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you using the stock Samsung One UI launcher, or a 3rd party one? Did you install a 3rd party theme?

Hi. My S10e just updated to Android 10, and now the status bar color is white. It was black under Android 9. Oddly, the navigation bar will sometimes be white when I first unlock the phone, then it will turn gray after I open an app. The wallpaper is from the Galaxy Wallpapers app in the Google Play store.

I looked into Nova Launcher, but I did not like it. (I use Easy Mode.) I also tried High Contrast Fonts in the Accessibility settings, but that made everything look terrible.

Is there a reason why 10 changed the status bar to white, or could this be an update glitch? What else can I try? I really don't like the white status bar.

I believe different wallpaper will affect this , maybe try another .

Are you also using a 3rd party theme? If so, try changing to an official Samsung theme, since 3rd party theme developers might not have modified their themes to be compatible with Pie or 10.

Thanks for the quick responses. I will try other wallpapers just to see if anything changes, but I'm not interested in changing the wallpaper permanently. Also, I do not use a 3rd party theme other than the wallpaper app. I just find it odd (and annoying) that the status bar font/icons were black under Pie with the same wallpaper.

Mustang, I'm willing to try Good Lock if/when it is updated to work with 10. If you discover that it is working, would you mind posting about it here?
