stay on vibrate?

so I like to leave my phone on vibrate, but i keep hitting teh volume key which drops it out of vibrate mode. So here are the questions,

1 - can it be set to stay on vibrate even if the volume key is hit?
2 - is there an easier way to drop it into vibrate mode than settings->sounds->vibrate ? like a widget or something?

You can hold the power button down until the menu comes up to put into vibrate mode.

Extended controls
It's a couple bucks in the market.
I used it to add a flashlight toggle to the power widget. Don't ask.

In the Market?

Also, when I hold down the power button on my Dinc2 I don't get a volume/vibrate option. I just get restart, airplane and power off options.

nope, it's one of the built in htc widgets, called "profile"
