Steps and bike! lol

Just noticed, after 1 hour ride on my motorbike, moto 360 reported 8.956 steps!

UPDATE: I guess that vibrations transferred from handlebar of the motorcycle are interpreted by the watch as "steps"!

I commute 20-30 minutes on my motorcycle (R1200C ) and it counts mine as mountain biking... Not always, but most of the time. So I can get to work in the morning having only walked around my house and jumped on the bike and met my 30 minutes of activity goal!! I would call it a bonus feature, right?!?!

Yea , but on a serious note, can this be somehow corrected? I would prefer to have real step counts!

You should be able to edit entries in the web-based Google Fit application. https://fit.google.com

that could not help, but thanks for suggestion. Is it possible to turn off the pedometer?

I had mine do something like that one day. My friend and I went for a drive in her car, which has pretty much no suspension so you feel every bump in the road.

With all the vibration, google fit took the drive as a bike ride! Least it made me look fitter than I am haha
