Steps on phone always behind

Hi, I have literally only had the 5 Pro a day, but i am noticing, each time i look at my watch it is always a few hundred steps ahead of the phone lock screen, the phone only seems to update i unlock it, and then go into the app.
Seems a bit pointless it being on the lock screen though if it's always a lot behind.

I only really wanted to know if this is normal or if there was something i need to change?

Hello! Have you tried resetting your Bluetooth connections just to see if it was a glitch of some kind?

I personally don't think the step counter on the watch 5 is close to accurate. It seems to be way higher then any of my previous watches. The step count goes up while I'm driving, my others didn't do that as bad as this one

My watch never seems to recognize flights of stairs. Rarely shows more than 0.
