Stereo headset with mic + call & volume controls

Hey guys,

I recently sold my EVO 4G and got a Photon. This phone is pretty awesome! Though I do have some problems with it. One of them being my Apple iPhone headphones don't work like they did with the EVO with this phone. The mic does not work, nor do the volume controls. Is there any reason for this? They worked just fine with my EVO 4G (everything except the volume controls).

Is there any way to get this headset working with the Photon? If not, is there something with good sound for music, working mic, call answer/end button and maybe even volume control buttons?

I don't want those totally in your earhole noise canceling ones. Just regular earbuds like the iPhone ones.

Any recommendations? I've read that the Palm stereo headset has great audio quality and that the call button works. Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks!

Palm Pre headsets sound good, work well, including the button. There's another thread here somewhere with info on button operation (hold down, press once, on a call, not on a call, etc).

I think I did read that thread at some point. Awesome. I'm still looking for something that has audio controls too that would work with the Photon. But so far I can't find anything nice. I also don't like those noise canceling types that have a rubber piece that go all the way in your ear... Most headsets I see have those things which is annoying. Another reason that the Palm ones are looking like a good idea right now...

I just got the Pre ones delivered to my house today. They seem to sound better than the Apple earbuds which is pretty awesome! Mic seems to work just fine and when I click the center button I get the voice commands thing popping up. Which is where I have another question. With my EVO, I could use the center button to pause and resume my music thats playing in Pandora. Is there a way to get these to do that too?
