Still no ICS...........

I'm so close to rooting. The only reservation I have is instability, not just with the OS but apps as well. I mean, I rooted my Evo and went through 20 different roms before I had to compromise and pick the lesser of 20 evils because something didn't work right. Whether it was Bluetooth issues, fast battery drain, or apps crashing that worked great on stock, it was a total nightmare at times and had a better experience on stock. So I told myself I would keep this stock till the "official" ics was released but I'm getting impatient.....not because I have to have ics but because I was promised this update.

im waiting on it. actually this thread is turning into a root and custom rom thread. it should be for info on the official. non rooted users. are there any moderators that work here? hahaha:cool::-X

Dark Knight has a stable ROM with great battery life.... I haven't been rooted/flashed long but I regret staying on GB for so long.

His rom is still using the buggy FE10 build. FE10=May 10, 2012 Samsung Leak.

We Are now on FF18. FF18=June 18, 2012. Lots of bug fixes over FE10.

Ive literally flashed every available rom to date. Nothing was stable enough for daily use. Thats why I built my own.

actually the latest update 1.0.4.1 is based on FF18, the link clearly says FF18..............and fwiw I was on the original FE10 build and I found it anything but buggy, was very stable with respectable battery life

Ya, I've used it since it came out on and off, and solely it for a while now, and FE10 was perfectly smooth and great so the update wasn't even needed that much... But he updated it since FF18 is likely to be the ota hopefully or at least close to it. Really not that much happened in the FF builds besides Sprint getting their bloatware locked down more.
