I've been worried about upgrading to Oreo due to possible battery drain issues. I figured if it ain't broke why upgrade. But I need to take the plunge at some point. Has 8.1 fixed the battery drain issue of 8.0? Do I need to upgrade to 8.0 before I can upgrade to 8.1?

I never had a battery drain "issue" with 8.0 in the true sense of the word. The battery did drain more quickly for about a week, but then returned to normal.

I've had no problem with battery drain and Android 8.1. The last battery drain problem I had was with Android 5 and it was a bad music app I'd installed.

No problem different that 7 and I updated to 8.0 now 8.1 on my Pixel XL 128GB
