My Nexus 6P has been enrolled in the beta program from day one. Never had a problem with updates. Currently on the final beta build with security patch dated July 5th. Still waiting for the final OTA update. Anyone else?

I usually wait for OTA updates because I have no experience in doing manual updates. I guess I am afraid of bricking my phone.

I'm still waiting for final OTA update or at least a security patch newer than 5 July. Being a Project Fi user there has been no point thinking about manualing updating. Official build didn't support the radios I need. Still wondering why 5X aren't impacted the same way.

Thanks BattleSwine. I am a Project Fi subscriber also so we're in the same boat. I don't know if I am missing any features by running the final beta, but it would be nice to be up to date.

If the official build doesn't support the PFi radios, why did my nephew's N6P with PFi get updated to Oreo when he enrolled in the beta program just after Oreo went live? It appears these updates are random.

I doubt anyone at Google even knows what the hell's going on with updates to any phones other than the Pixel on Verizon. FWIW, I sideloaded the not-for-Fi OTA to my 6P on September 2nd, and the phone works fine far as I can tell. No problem with radios. I'm guessing the biggest player here is T-Mobile and their lawsuit-induced paranoia about "untested" updates not working properly with their 911 system.

My 6p finally got the Oreo 8.0 OTA update today around 11 am, but I had to check for it manually. It downloaded and installed seamlessly. (I did not bother with the beta update this year. )

Exact same here. I'm on Android beta on my 6p, I'm still on the final beta of Oreo and my security update is from July. It's beyond frustrating

I contacted project fi help last night. The guy said he's going to escalate my case and I should get an email within 24 hours. I told them I'm still on the security patch from July. Let's see what they say.

tech support at Fi has my case escalated to an upper-level Tech. They had me do a USB debugging report and send it to them. Waiting to hear what they say next.

Same here also, but I'm on sprint not project Fi. I'm not so much worried about the oreo update as I am about the security update.

I just bit the bullet and un-enrolled out of the beta. Since android Oreo is out you don't have to wipe your phone. I got the Sept security patch and build ORP6.170623.019

I just went to the Android beta program portal and signed into my Google account, then scroll down and it should show your phone that is in the beta and click the unenroll button.

I was able to do that as well, but it still wants to push nougat to me. I'm on Google Fi.
