Still waiting on the nouget update?!

Switched to android during the first week of February and decided to get the S7 edge. This change was probably the greatest decision I have ever made. I bought the phone unlocked and I still haven't been able to update to Nouget. What is happening?

Don't be in a hurry, if marshmallow is working well, be cool. If you go to sammobile and type the model number in to search for software field, you will get the list of what you should have. It will be like SMG930FE or similar...
Nougat is quite buggy at this stage, just enjoy your amazing device...

If it is a U.S. unlocked S7 edge Samsung has not released Nougat for it yet.

Nougat buggy? My edge is 100 times better than it was on Marshmallow.

@Maher, glad to hear it mate! My S7 has been dodgy since I got 7 in it, not to mention it crashed installing it.. So I'm not that impressed so far.
Read all the comments on the forums about Nougat, a lot of people are having issues...

Some are experiencing some issues such as seemingly more battery drain from the AOD or wifi issues after updating to Nougat but it could be any number of things that could be the issue.

I'm in the Uk using an Unbranded unlocked s7 edge and recently updated to Nougat.

All positives so far.

Hi Tim. Did you try factory reset and start fresh? I do that on every major upgrade without hesitation to avoid many and almost all of the frustration you read about on the forums. Best of luck!

@maher, well, it crashed on installation, Missing DRK it seems. I don't have the skills at that level, so it went to Samsung, they reset it, so I had a factory new device...
I usually just wipe cache partition with upgrades, this was a 1.2Gig download, so I guess some code got corrupted...

Did they apply the install? Are you on Nougat and good now. Seems like a bad start.

Yes, they could access Odin screen so they loaded the DRK and it installed no problem. It's a large download, around 1.2Gig, so some code got corrupted perhaps.
It works OK now, I have it set up how I like finally...
