Is the Gear S3 Frontier still worth buying? What version of Tizen is it on, and is it still getting updates?

My local Sam's Club has one in stock for $199. Just wasn't sure if it was still worth it or not.

I bought a new in sealed box on swappa for $180 in June. I'm loving it!
I think it's better looking than the two tone Galaxy Watch.
My S3 updated the OS to the same One UI as the Galaxy Watch.
I don't know if there is anything you'd be giving up by choosing the S3 over the GW.

depends on what you want the watch for. If it does everything you need it for it to do, then it would be worth it. It has one feature no other watch has and that is MST if you use samsung pay.

Been away from the site for a bit. Yeah, I went ahead and pulled the plug. I like it. I got the Watch Active (1st gen) free with the credits from my Note 10+. I like the overall look and feel of the Active, but didn't like that the screen felt too small. The S3 takes helps take care of that, and the battery life is so much better.

One of the reasons I went with the Frontier over the Galaxy Watch is that the larger GW only came in silver and I wanted black. I wanted the largest screen I could get.

Man, the S3 is the watch they should build future versions on. I upgrade my phone with every model, but I haven't found another watch that I want over the S3. Plus, I'm a huge Samsung Pay fan, so that MST is a must.

Definitely an awesome watch, I've had the frontier for almost 3 years and it still running strong the battery has depleted a little but I am OK with charging it daily, I just purchased a new open box s3 classic from ebay and I'm loving the classic as well especially with the latest update and the MST is awesome.

I have a Sport I wear for work days, so the S3 is only for weekends / holidays.
MAN! That rotating bezel feels so awesome! The S3 bezel is so much more crisp and smooth, compared to the Sport.
