Still worth getting?

Wait.

Scenario 1:
* GS3 drops in price, new GNex out and rocks your socks off.
Dilemma: save money over getting the GS3 or pay more for the GNex (though it may actually have a lower introductory price)

Scenario 2:
* GS3 drops in price, new GNex out and it sucks
No dilemma: Get the GS3, save money, profit

Scenario 3:
* HTC and/or Moto introduce new superphone over the next 2 weeks, you buy GS3 now.
Problem; you have GS3 but HTC or Moto phone won't be available for purchase til just outside the 30 day return mark. You curse the world and everything in it.

Scenario 4:

.... you get my point.

Yes waiting in tech world is kind of a silly concept but you're also coming up to the time of year when great deals are likely to come around and the next GNex and/or HTC/Moto/Sony/whatever (sorry LG) come out with the next superphone, or heck you might want the GNote2.
verizon has a 14 day return period. some 3rd party have longer return period. i know costco has a 90 day return period. note that regardless of where you buy, after 14 days, you are locked into a 2 year contract.

Vzw has a 14 day return, not 30 day.

Just get what you want now, don't wait to get the newest device because there will always be a newer better device down the pipe.

Wait for the Nexus, move to T-mobile to get the GSM version, lock in unlimited EVERYTHING with t-mo and wait for the 2013 LTE launch and clean up. I mean, how fast will T-Mo be? HSPA+ when out of LTE and second Gen LTE data with unlimited and the Nexus that get updates right from Google.

You're joking right? The OP clearly stated that Tmo doesn't even have decent 3G where he lives and you want the guy to wait for T-mo LTE? LOL

Hopefully T-Mo will still be in business by the time they want to roll out LTE to this dude...

Yes, it is an amazing phone, I am excited about working with the NFC portion of the phone.

To be frank I am waiting for the iphone 5. Looks like it would be really good.
