Stock Android Email App won't load AOL emails

[Android Central Question]

I have my aol email connected to the stock Android Email app. about a month ago, my emails stopped loading after I opened them. Just hangs in loading status. if I click forward or reply, I can see the email instantly in the email string. So not sure why it doesn't load when I open.

My server setting are correct per Aol's and android's recommendations. I have also removed the account and added it back to no avail.

Welcome to Android Central! Is this only for emails that have a lot of images in them, or does it also happen for emails that are simple text only?
