Stock browser too dark

Every time I use the stock browser I notice that the screen gets darker. Has anyone noticed this and does anyone know how to change it?

The browser has its own brightness settings. Open the browser and adjust it via Menu button

Also, make sure you aren't covering or obstructing the light sensor at the top of the phone, next to the ear speaker. Test it by covering the two sensors next to the speaker and see the browser get darker, uncover and the screen will automatically brighten. This is assuming you have the setting on Automatic though.
