Is there a better web browser then the stock browser that comes on the Droid X? (My first smartphone btw)

No other browser comes with the phone but theres a few on the market you can get for free. Try searching for these:

-Dolphin
-Skyfire

Each have some strong points and downfalls. I wouldn't use Skyfire for any login pages. Other than that give them a try.

I like Dolphin HD but I'm playing with skyfire right now. Dolphin is better then the the stock browser and skyfire seems pretty polished.

I like xScope lite. Seems pretty snappy and the Tab interface is much better than the stock browsers. Also 1-handed operation is far better with the 1 finger zoom it offers. Skyfire will help you get your Flash Video fix until Froyo is released.

Also, if you use the AC sideload program, you can try the beta of Firefox for Android (Fennic).

You should be able to install from the device actually, I did. I had alot of problems with fennec. I'm an avid Firefox user, but personally I wouldn't install fennec yet. It's the most "alpha" alpha release I've ever used.

Im just curious but whats so bad about the stock browser? I'm coming from BB and I just love the stock browser I think it flys

I came from a BB Storm 1, and yes, the stock browser flys. Being a long-time firefox user, I love using tabs so I can have androidcentral.com, gl1800riders.com, and maybe a news site or something open at the same time. Since the browser never closes, I can pick up where I left off whenever I want.

I have to agree with this. The stock browser fits all my needs and is real quick. I tried the others (Skyfire and Dolphin) on my OG Droid but I wasn't a fan at all of them.

Just sit tight until Froyo's updated browser. Things should be pitch-perfect on that sucker. Is it "late summer" yet?

Once Fennec is polished and officially released, I hope that it supports some extensions, like Xmarks. I would love to sync my bookmarks across my PC, laptop, and phone.

Fennec already supports Mozilla's own bookmark-sync extension, FYI. Still not a usable browser yet IMO.

Actually, that was only with their original browser for Windows Mobile (off-site rendering). Now, on Android, they actually do use the device to render the pages. It was in their press-release and some articles when it first came out :)

I had DInc and I was able to go into settings and change the browser from displaying mobile only to full webpage...how do i do this for the X? Me personally, I hate using mobile view...how can i change it so it always display the actually website instead of mobile view. I checked in setting, but can't figure it out.

Opera. Fastest I've used. I'm gonna load xScope lite and if I like it, i'll get the pay version.

Anyone using the pay version? How do they like it?

You could just have multiple windows open in the browser with each of those sites in a window and then go back into them whenever
