Stock Calendar Problems...

Hello! Could someone tell me how to turn off the "reminders" for my daily entries? I know how to turn off each one individually, but I don't want ANY reminders for my hourly entries at all - I know there is a way to have it pre-set, just can't figure it out. Also, when I enter the info, some of the entries come highlighted yellow, instead of blue... what am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Not sure how the stock Calendar for the HTC One differs from Google's Calendar app, but look at the app's Settings to see if you can find a section for Notification & Reminders. You should be able to uncheck Notifications. Alternatively, you could go to Settings/Apps/All, select Calendar, and uncheck the Notifications box there.

Go into the Calendar app. In the menu (three little dots in upper right hand corner) choose Settings. Scroll down to section titled " Reminder Settings". Check "All calendars" if you want it to apply to all of your calendars. Then press on "Default reminder time" and choose "None."

That should set your default reminder time to none for new entries in the calendat. UNFORTUNATELY, the Calendar app apparently has a bug, because this setting is ignored by the app.

This is an annoying bug for those of us who don't want a default reminder set for every entry me make in the calendar. Funny thing is, I remember this same bug being present in the Calendar app for the original HTC EVO too. It was finally fixed in an update. Hopefully it will be fixed in an update for the One as well.

Correction to what I said in previous post quoted above...

You are able to set the default reminder time to "None" and it will work, if you do it for each individual calendar, rather than try to apply the setting to all calendars at once. So, do this...

Go into the Calendar app. In the menu (three little dots in upper right hand corner) choose Settings. Scroll down to section titled " Reminder Settings". Make sure "All calendars" is not checked. Then press "Apply settings to" and select the calendar you want your settings to apply to. Then press on "Default reminder time" and choose "None."

:)
