Stock camera app developed a freezing-up problem (gt-p3113)

The stock camera app has started freezing-up during use and I have to do a re-start to unfreeze it.
I started noticing the problem while on a trip and started putting the tab to sleep with brief push of the power button while the app was still active when I knew a few minutes would pass between shots.

Anyone else noticed or can reproduce this problem?

I started using a different camera app because now the stock camera app seems to have developed an ongoing freezing-up problem.

Mine did it also, so I started using an app. It only did it while I took pictures outside on a sunny day and not when I took them inside or in a shaded area as weird as that sounds.
