Stock email app- archive instead of delete possible?

Every once in a while I try to see how much I can rely on stock apps. Please don't judge me but I sometimes like to change up the look and feel of my device this way.

I like the clean lines of the Samsung note 7 stock email app and thought I'd take it for a spin but the delete button deletes the message rather than archiving. Am I missing a setting to force this over to archive?

Okay I think I have a work around so I can use the stock email app with respect to the archiving behaviour. I think I'm the only one in the world who wants to archive vs deleting because there seems to be no help out there to do this.

I have been using the swipe to delete and then at the end if the day I go to the trash folder and select all and move them to the all mail folder.

I really like the stock email app. There is built in functions for the pen. There is also the ability to create a calendar entry from the email much easier than the Gmail app. Also for business it is helpful to save emails as files.
