Stock Email Notifications not working after GB

The reason I use peak/off peak is so that I dont get awakened all night long as spam email is sent to my accounts. Before I reset I downloaded Maildroid to try and get around the stock email app and it also stopped syncing after a day or 2. That says to me its the phone processes not the set ups, etc. Why I expect more from a phone that was shipped with a video camera that records no sound I dont know why. If I released software with such a basic bug Id have been fired. Cant tell me that no one tested the video camera before release, they had to know it didnt work as Im sure all the rest of the issues.

inhale deeply - ok, my basic reason to go to verizon and the TB was because I could not receive phone calls at home on ATT because of their crappy service in this area. I will take a deep breath and be glad that at least the phone part works! For that at least I am ahead of the game. Therefore (LOL) If one is handed a thunderbolt, one must make thunderbolt aid!:D

I?m wondering. I created a second Gmail account and had the stock email app sync it along with the default Gmail, 3 yahoo, and AOL. I primed it periodically to see which would work. The two Gmail worked correctly and one of the 3 yahoos worked correctly. The AOL, no go. All get the email when I do it manually. First I thought it might be that POP is only available for yahoo in the paid yahoo plus which I don?t have. When I look at how the email was set up to sync it is set as IMAP not POP. I researched it and as stated POP is only for the paid accounts in US. According to Wikipedia however, IMAP IS available for mobile devices only. If it didn?t work it wouldn?t work at all, not because a program can?t track time.
I thought to set up for GMAIL to manage them but Gmail doesn?t allow you to select the frequency of the update, it chooses based on how frequently you get email. Here comes the wondering part, thanks for sticking in with it?the patter of the yahoo email syncs is like the frequency of the emails. One gets lots of stuff so it?s the one generally that works. A second gets some so it shows up like once or twice a day. He third gets very little so doesn?t really show a lot at all. Finally, the AOL gets really nothing and it never seems to be one of those that work. Sounds like the Gmail rules to me.
So I was wondering, could something Google be interfering with the process? I don?t use GMAIL app, just stock, and I have notifications turned off for GMAIL app.
Any thoughts?
