Yep. I switched to the Google keyboard and all the lag is gone.

You might try turning off keyboard sounds, and turning on keyboard vibration. I did that and the stock keyboard is fine.

No problems with the stock keyboard here. In fact, this is the first time I haven't immediately stopped using a stock keyboard.

Noticed it. Tried to stick it out but ended up back on Google keyboard again.

I find that the vibration always causes a lot of lag, but I downloaded SwiftKey right away and haven't used the LG keyboard much

Yep. Had lag on mine especially if I type too fast it won't add the space between each word.
