Stock Mesmerize Clock vs. AOSP

Flashed the DL09 Super Clean Rom and kernal from Adrynalyn (Thank you), and I love it.

What I would like to do, is replace the AOSP Clock with the original one. Is that the "Stock Mesmerize" Desk Clock, on Rom Manager?

ps - Going to go back to the original calculator to. That AOSP calculor looks like something from 1995!

pps - Want to reinstall Thinkfree Office, since it's great for opening email attachments. Anyone have a better alternative?

I second this. I liked the fact I could adjust the volume of my alarm on the stock alarm clock.

What I really liked, was that it had a nice countdown (which I used at least 3x a day), and a stopwatch (which I rarely used, but did use it).

The AOSP one is just a clock and alarm, the weather part always says "unavailable" for me.

I have always had problems with deodexed ROMs and the stock clock app. Mainly, the timer feature, which I use frequently, does not make any sound upon completion. The screen will change but it's dead silent which is not very effective as you could imagine.

i prefer the AOSP clock over the stock FASN8 clock because you can dim it, and it later dims even more when it goes into "green screensaver mode". the TW desk clock is blinding in the dark.

even though it always FC's if select Settings i still like it better, although having a stopwatch/timer would be handy sometimes. there is prolly something suitable in the market but i haven't looked.

Yeah, I use the timer a lot. And you're saying that when you use the stock timer with an alternative ROM, it drops the ball... bummer.

Ok, I'll try it, and see how it works. One question though... If I install it through ROM Manager, and it works crappy for me, can I uninstall it, or do I need to go through the trouble to make a backup first?

Oh nevermind, I'll give it a go and report back...

Ok, tried it... and glad I took the time to do a backup.

Like killahamsammich (really, where do you people come up with these names ), the countdown alarm is silent on the super clean rom.

Also, Thinkfree Office does not show up as an option when I try to preview a doc in email. Yes, I activated it for "this device"

and fyi - on BOTH calculators, I entered "9+6*3" and got "27"!? Really?!

Sadly, I was thinking 9*(18), instead of what I wrote, 9+(18).

I have a newbie question. This is my first time rooting flashing etc to my phone and i also used the DL09 Super Clean Rom, though i was looking for a better kernel to use with it besides the stock kernel. Any suggestions and where to get them?

Go into Rom Manager -> Get Roms -> SonofSywalker3, and get the Super Clean 1230
