Stock Messaging App Settings

I've had my S7 for almost a week, and I'm still fiddling with it. I'm using the stock messaging app, and I seem to only be able to customize the background. I haven't found a way to change the text "bubbles" as I could with the S4 I just left. Have I missed that setting or am I stuck if I don't switch to another messaging app? I'm on VZW but I'm not familiar with its messaging app. Is it better than the stock? (although I guess that's a subjective question LOL)

Short answer is yes, Verizon's Mesaage+ is better than the stock message app.

It's Verizon's version of Apple's iMessage app. You can sync messages across multiple devices.

I have my account synced to my work desktop, laptop, iPad, work iPhone, Kindle Fire HD, and of course my S7E.

You can customize the backgrounds and bubbles like you are interested in.

I love it.
