Yes, it's Google. And it can be set as the default messaging app on our phones. I don't use it because I don't want a Google+ profile and it uses that.

Anyone else notice how slow and cumbersome it is? I normally use Textra but that was saying my texts weren't sending even though friends were texting back. So I'm back to using the stock app and it's so slow. What messaging apps are you all using?

Ya, the only issue is that without a Google + profile, you can't add a picture. I hate Google +. Complete invasion of privacy...
