Stock Moto UI for X

from what i understand you can't use the new x ui features with any other launcher right? i love adw but i love that ability to resize widgets. the one and only thing i don't like about the xui is the phone, app drawer, and contact buttons. i like the froyo vanilla layout better.

so is there a way u can use the xui features with another launcher? does launcher pro or open home allow you to use xui features?

I have no complaints in regards to the stock UI, but I am using launcher pro. I think the polish and performance I see with LP exceeds what moto blur brings to the table.

The app drawer is smoother, and has the cool 3d affect with LP and the apps are sorted normally. With motoblur, the stock apps come first then my apps, its kind of disconcerting not to have a fully alphabetized list

I'm using the stock UI, and checked my app drawer..it is arranged alphabetically, with no preference as to pre-installed apps/my downloads. So, I'm not sure why yours did not when using the stock UI.

I came from the Hero, and I love the Droid X and Motoblur UI. When I had the Hero, I actually used the stock Android UI instead of HTC Sense.

Love the watered down, streamlined Motoblur. I hate clutter on my screens. I try not to have more than 2 apps per page.

BTW, anyone having problems installing MyVerizon app??

LauncherPro Plus

I'm using the newer version of launcherpro.
Its a pay for version $2.99.
I felt that the developer desired something in return for all his efforts.

Everyone ,for the most part, seems to enjoy how launcherpro operates.

Laucherpro was fine. I haven't used the paid version. For one thing, I am sort of concerned that it isn't fully optmized for the X yet??? With so many reporting issues with their phones, I don't wish to go into territory where mine might start having problems. So far, none noticed with stock UI.

Oh, and I had no problems installing the new My Verizon app. Works just fine.

I used LP+ for a couple days. Here's what I'd like to see implemented in Stock X on a future update. LP has the option for 5 rows of icons/widgets on the desktop. There should be o reason we can get that on Stock X. LP also has the capability to add and change the dock icons (although I had some issues with that). I ultimately came back to Stock X today simply because it works better with the X and as derpudel said, the dev needs a little more time to work out some kinks. Resizing the widgets is a huge plus.I prefer the individual Contact Quick tasks widgets over LP's People widget, which still needs an additional program to pull down pics from Facebook. A Silence and a Screen brightness widget would be nice as well in the style of the other power widgets.
