stock MUSIC App & Bluetooth -- just stops playing after some time passes

I'm using the stock MUSIC App/Widget ... I have the phone connected via Bluetooth to a portable speaker. It will play for a while (like 20-30 mins) and suddenly just stop playing. I check the APP on the phone & I press the PLAY button and in continues just fine - almost like STOP was pressed. I don't have any settings for turning it off after a certain time. This seems to happen intermittently on either of the Bluetooth accessories I pair with the phone. (Headphones or Speaker).

Anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks

I don't use the stock music player and I havent had this issue on any of the 3rd party players I use. Have you tried a different player to see if the issue still occurs?

Ok, after more testing ... very strange. I've tried a couple of different APPS - and frankly, expected the STOCK App to work perfectly. But evern when paired to my headphones, and thereby in very close proximity, after around 25-30 mins it just quits playing ... like I pressed PAUSE, which is not the case. I tried pairing to portable speakers & played some ITunes songs ... and again, 1/2 hour into it it just quit playing & I had to click on PLAY again to get it going. Very weird. I never had this issue with my previous Razr Max & Bluetooth.

OK, more testing of this thing. It still happens - and I *think* is has something to do with some system power setting or something I have yet to find. It doesn't matter WHICH App I use to play music. But the magical number seems to be 30 --- After 30 mins, it just goes into PAUSE/STOP mode. I simply press PLAY on the APP or on my Headset & it resumes just fine where it stopped. This is so bazaar & frustrating. What could possibly be causing this? Is there another WEB Site for reporting issues to SAMSUNG that I need to report this? I can't believe that I'm the only one with this experience.

OK, yet another update in this ... Apparently NOT anything specific to Bluetooth !! Was sitting poolside yesterday afternoon & was listening to a Podcast app - NOT USING BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES, JUST THE S6 SPEAKER - and 3 mins into the podcast I got silence. I thought that was weird and checked the Podcast. It just looked like it had been paused. I pressed PLAY & it resumed right where it stopped. Very strange. But definitely something going on in the Music Player function of this S6 !! (Does anyone know a site to report these problems directly to Samsung ???

I know this thread is almost a month old, but I also have this issue with the stock player on the LG G4. I'm also running on the 5.1 version of Android and I've been reading about memory leaks and all this other crap. I never had this issue with my Droid DNA and that was running 4.2.2. Maybe the update to 5.1.1 will help here.

ok so having read you issue and having encountered it myself I thought I would join up and post the solution I came across purely by accident.... It seems that the samsung app optimisation software shuts doen the play stream to conserve power. my samsung S6 was doing just that.. however after I went into app optimisation and manually disabled the optimisation for any media driven music or video player.. hey presto.. no more bluetooth music cutting out and stopping (as if you had predded pause or stop yourself). Now continuous music with no interruptions..

Hope this helps people..
