Stock Recovery interesting find

so i tested something..

adb root

then tried to access stock recovery adb

C:\Users\zefie\Downloads>adb shell
- exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: No such file or directory (2) -
check_LGE_official: fopen(/sdcard/ally_security) error

Hmmm... how close is this phone to the ally's hardware? (or did someone just not update the source for the optimus?)

i was thinking ally too but it appears it's looking for an ally folder in the sdcard.

basically its looking for /sdcard/ally_security and deciding weither to give root or not. still looking into original recovery stuff

Yeah I just noticed this as well. Seems like when you root VC, it borks shell access in the stock recovery. If you install custom recovery, the problem ceases to exist.
