Stock type Samsung video player app?

Gang -

Just bought two more bolts from ebay and installed ICS on them.

They are working fab..

But my daughter is used to the video player from her sammy device.

HTC just likes to make it icon vs txt based. Don't really want a market app, but perhaps a stock app from another device.

That possible?

I don't think you can install the "stock" player from another brand. I know you said you want to stay away from a Play Store app but let me recommend one anyway.

QQ Player is free. It is excellent and plays every format I throw at it on my TBolt (more formats than stock can handle without conversion). It meets your prerequisite of a text based list of videos rather than Icon menus.

Give it a try.
