Stock video camera app stuttering/frame dropping...

Hey, All,

I've noticed that some of my recorded videos will have a few seconds of stuttering/frame dropping at certain points. I'm in airplane 5 mode when shooting, and I have plenty of storage available.

Has anyone else had this? I seem to remember this being an issue on my Pixel 2XL as well...

If a third party party app would prevent this, I wouldn't mind trying.

YES! WTH? I was at a concert the other night and while recording a video, it started to stutter and stammer and even on playback it shows.....Another issue is that when in camera, if a notification comes in and vibrates, the whole camera frame vibrates wildly which also shows up in your pic/video...WTF is going on? I called Google and they were no help. I saw reports online this stuff was happening on the pixel 2....are you telling me that a whole phone version later google still hasnt fixed this? AMAZING...

Search for pixel 2 shake-gate and you will see video of what happens on my 3xl....except this was on the 2 from a year ago.....

I have never owned a smartphone and while taking a video or a photo if a notification comes in it causes the entire screen to blur that is just insane. not even taking into consideration the whole stuttering a video which has nothing to do with the notifications.

I fully expect a notification vibration to shake the scene - but not random, stuttering. That's unacceptable!

I've noticed a stall or two during recording but it doesn't affect playback in my case

I always put it in airplane mode. The stuttering is from software/hardware - not from vibrations, unfortunately.

shouldnt have to do that on a thousand dollar phone, not even a 500 dollar phone.....I have never had this happen on any phone.....til now

yeah mine was even worse it was full stop frames for like 5 seconds.

for some reason I can't get your video to play.. but if it's anything like the issue I had on the Pixel 2XL.. it drove me mad. I made a thread about it a couple of months ago. I would record and all of a sudden the image would freeeeeeeze. No one else seemed to say they had this issue, but both my wife and I did.

Ahhh.. Yeah, I've had that, but much worse on the 2XL.
