Stock Voicemail Notification Questions...after the 605.5 Update

Woke up to my phone saying the new OTA was successful. Ok then. So I got stock VM notifications back. I successfully unsubscribed from the Visual Voice Mail that I was "donated" by Verzion for the interim and now when a voicemail comes I get the notification! Yay...BUT...

My question is 2 part...maybe I just forgot how this VM notification originally worked but...

1) I may be crazy but I thought the old voicemail notification allowed you to hit it which would then automatically call your voicemail. Now it just says "Voice Mail Activities Received" and "Select to login Visual Voice Mail" Did I not set this back up right to the way it was before I used visual voicemail?

2) After receiving and listening to a voicemail message and deleting it, isn't that VM logo supposed to disappear from the notification bar? My logo stays there.

Did you unsubscribe to the visual voice mail? Click on the icon for it then hit the menu key. You will see an option to unsubscribe. You have to click on that and viola ! You will no longer have it........
then go into Settings and make sure you have your VM set up you can set it up to take your password so it will automatically connect when you hit the #1 key and gently press down on it.
To do that go into settings......click on CALL, then go to voice mail service....click on my carrier
then go to voice mail settings click on it *86,your password click ok and you are ready to go.

*86, (your 4 digit password after the comma) it will set it up so you don't have to type in your password.

Thanks for the response. I had unsubscribed. BUT I figured out the issue. I had to actually call Verizon and have them stop Visual Voicemail. Then after a reset everything is back to normal. All fixed! Thx.
