Is there a way to keep calendar reminders from the lock screen, or at least having it so I have to acknowledge them by swiping to ignore or snooze them before getting into my phone? It's kind of annoying. Also is there a way to delete the Samsung Calendar app and just go with Google Calendar instead as my sole calendar app?

I have the same question. This might be a deal breaker for me on this phone, Galaxy S5, or Android altogether. My calendar reminders sometimes contain confidential information, and it is a very big issue for me that this information is on the lock screen. Please help. Both my exchange server and my Google calendar reminders pop up on the lock screen. My Droid Razr did not have this issue.

Hit the Settings button, then Calendars and uncheck the Samsung Calendar and Tasks.

Problem solved! I installed Google calendar app and turned on its notifications, then turned off notifications on the default calendar app. Worked perfectly...I still get the notification sound and task bar reminder, but no lock screen alert. The Google app synced my exchange server email, Facebook, etc. Whew...I really didn't want to return this phone.
