Stop daily briefing?

If you tap the briefing on the watch and the the 3 dots you will have an option to stop receiving them

Yes I know. And when I do that I get a prompt saying something like, “to disable go to customization services on your phone”. I can’t find that other than in apps, I was able to pause cust. services but it didn’t work. I just don’t know where to find or what to do with cust. Services. Either way Samsung says you can’t do it, but there is that option in the 3 dot menu. Maybe it’s regional?

I think it takes 48 hours to take effect

Thanks for replying. That post was from dec 27th though. So it’s been off for far more than 24 hours. What do other people have in there settings though? The only setting there for more is “sensors”. On or off. That’s it. They are set to off. Do others have different options?

To get the Daily Briefing canceled I did what is mentioned in the first reply (Settings>Apps>Permissions>Daily Briefing). I had to reset my watch though to get the option.
It worked immediately, no 48hrs to take effect.
The funny thing is, I just checked the option and it is set back to On for some strange reason, and I still don't get the briefings (which is a good thing) ...
May be another reset will do the trick, but I'll wait until I actually have a problem before I reset my watch.

All other messages, like sleep reports, encouragements, etc are app related (at least they were for me).
If you go to the widget for the app, tap the screen, then tap the the 3-dot menu, then settings, you can switch the message off.

What options are there for you under apps/permissions/daily briefing? The only thing there for me is "sensors".

After turning it off every time it comes up, and telling it I don't want it any more, daily briefing has finally given up on me. Took about one month. Guess they just set their own timeline.

Correct. I was wrong about how I switched it off. Apologies.

Please try this: Settings> Accounts> Customization Service> Supported Apps>Daily Briefing
Daily Briefing should be switched off.

If that option doesn't exist, you need to reset your watch (like I had to do).

When I go to accounts>customization services, it gives me the same message I get when I try disable the daily briefing from its 3 dot menu. It says to go to customization services on my phone. I don't know where to do that.

Still wondering if it's a regional thing, especially since samsung tech support said it can't be turned off. Maybe samsung feels Canadians want to be annoyed.

I think that's highly unlikely, because Samsung would make life difficult for themselves if they would do that for an option that as far as I can see shouldn't be regionally bound.
It's more likely that the Samsung tech support person you spoke to doesn't know how it works and therefore claims it is impossible, following the unwritten rule "an expert may be in error, but never in doubt". Thát is what I see happening all the time.

Did you try a reset (make a backup of your watch first, then restore the backup after the reset)?
After a reset the question "do you want a daily briefing" will pop up at some point.
