Android Central Question
Hi. I want to be able to make Google Maps and Google Assistant send their audio output (turn directions / spoken responses etc) to the phone speaker instead of the attached bluetooth device.
Quite often I am driving, using Google Maps for directions, but listening to the radio in the car. In this situation, because the phone is paired with the car (for phone calls and media), I don't hear the turn instructions (or Google Assistant responses) because the car audio system is set to radio for input and not bluetooth.
I appreciate I could force the issue by editing the properties of the bluetooth connection to remove media - and just have it work for phone calls only, but I would have to then undo that every time I wanted to play music from the phone etc.
Is there a way to specify which audio output you want to use for a particular app ?
Many thanks.
