Storage/memory question..128gb or 512gb??

512 GB storage is better option but limited to choose only black color option. I love mystic white version, for me best looking one.
Shame the choice is so poor, no blue one, no limited like star wars, last year note 10 plus had better selling option, initial memory was 256 gb and choice of colors was decent

I agree. Shameful there was only one color choice for the most expensive, top of the line model - ridiculous. Black would not be my first choice for this phone, but I guess you get a case anyways.

And not having a 256gb version for the Ultra is also ridiculous when the N10+ had that option. Samsung was definitely skimping a little on the N10U models...

512gb future proofs the phone better in my opinion. Cloud storage for pictures is nice, but Google photos free version limits picture and video sizes.

And if you're using 4k or 8k video, those are very big files and won't go over to Google photos at that resolution.

I've also found that some apps, such as music apps like ProPlayer tend to work better with the music files on the internal and not on a card.

After having lots of memory issues with old Samsung phones in the past, I'm happy to have the 512gb option!

I run FLAC music files off the SD card with no issues. It would only be an issue if the read speed of the SD was too slow, but I'm not sure that the speed matters that much for music files. 4k or 8k video would have issues without a high speed card.

I have 5728 songs that come out to 37 gb. I have no idea what the quality setting is. I don't mess with any of that. Lol

We must have similar settings.. I have about 11k songs coming out to about 67gb. Most of my songs are mp3 at 320Kbps. (And yes, these are all from my library that I bought and half of them I ripped from the CDs.)

The thing that annoys me is that when you trade it in, the value you would get is the same whether it is 128GB/256GB/512GB and that actually bugs me to no end. Eons ago, they would differentiate, but not anymore.

Of course, with an SD card the space bought is ours and transferable, and we don't have to keep buying it from them.

I got the 128 gb because thats what they had but I added a 512 gb memory card and I'm good.

128gb of Storage with a 256gb sd card. I'm very happy. For me I have more than enough storage space left. Plus I carry a 64gb mini otg storage gadget on my keychain. Tons of pictures of grandchild through their ages. I like to dumb off into my 4T passport every so often after printing out certain pictures and hanging them on the wall.

I'm waiting on my 512gb card. I did order the 256gb but figured I'd install that on one of my other 2 phones or maybe camera. I went big but not the biggest. I can't see the 1tb myself.

I was stuck on having the Mystic Bronze and it was only in 128 GB. I wasn't a huge fan of the other colors. It should be enough for me. I have only used 49 GB of it. Only thing stored on the Internal are my apps and I clean the cache and clear data a lot too for apps I don't use. External storage is a 1 TB SD card and on it are my photos, camera photos, videos, music, apps with larger sizes. Used 182 GB of it. My backup app that I use at times is OneDrive. I wish Samsung had allowed 512 GB for the Mystic Bronze, that's what I would have chose.
