Store .pdf docs on phone, not online with google docs?

I have a bunch of .pdfs in my Droid 3 "Docs" app. The trouble is that they are only available when there's an internet connection.

Is there any way I can drag them to my Droid 3 so I have constant access, even if I'm in a place with no internet? I do have Adobe Reader ...

Thanks for the link and heads up. The comments at the link are helpful too, I guess I have some homework to do to sort out the competing products, but at least I have a starting point now!
