Straight Talk & HTC One - Best option - HTC One? Unlocked??

If you have service directly from AT&T or T-Mobile, the following applies. Currently, it will get 3G(4G) and LTE on AT&T. It will get LTE for T-Mobile. If you live in a 1900 Mhz refarmed T-Mobile area, you'll get 3G(4G).

I pre-ordered an unlocked One yesterday. I still have an AT&T StraightTalk sim, so I'll get 3G(4G). Since you have a T-Mobile StraightTalk sim, you'll only get Edge speeds unless you live in a refarmed area.

How are you liking your at&t straight talk sim? I'm trying to decide if I want to get a ATT straighttalk sim to use on my att HTC One, or get the tmobile $30 plan. Witht he ATT straighttalk sim, do you get LTE, or just HSPA+?

Maybe a bit of a overkill for straight talk. You see with straight talk/T-mob service you dont really get a true 4G service even though they advertise it as 4G. Thats because T-Mob took advantage of a labelling error on the so called 4G service. You really only get a glorified 3G service in the form of HSPA. This tops out at around 6mbps if you are really lucky. Most of the time you get around 1-2 mbps download. So this kinda speed is something a cheap phone can easily handle. Im glad you got the HTC one which is a very good phone but it does not let you go any faster as your service limits your speed terribly. Its a bit like getting a Porche and having to drive at 35 MPH cos thats the maximum speed allowed on the road you are going. Straight talk does not offer LTE.
Hope this helps

I am in a good area, Philadelphia. In your opinion, should I trade my sim in for a ATT compatible sim? Also, you state LTE, will straight talk work on LTE network? I thought it would only work with HSPA+? as the highest speed. Let me know if I'm missing somehting? Would love to have LTE speeds.

I put a friends at&t straight talk sim card in my Verizon HTC One and it worked. Didnt check mms or browsing but 4g flashed and the network changed to at&t

Hello everyone!
I'm new to this and you guys seem legitimate.
I really have no idea about phones.
Which is sad, because I'm 19.
Anyway.
I'm currently on Straight Talk.
And I'm looking for an HTC One Unlocked on Ebay/Amazon. (New condition)
I really have no idea about the GSM and what not and the band width or whatever you guys were talking about.
So if I send you guys a link and my Zip code, can someone PLEASE help me figure out if the phone would be compatible with my area?
I'm lost and it's really bothering me.
I tried talking to Straight Talk, but they clearly had no idea what they were talking about.
Please and thank you!
