Is there a way to send individual contacts straight to voicemail? TIA

Open your Contacts app and select a contact, then tap Menu. Is there an option to Route to Voicemail there?

No there isn't. The only option is to block, I don't want that.

Sorry, I don't have a Samsung phone, so I can't say for sure -- but does Block just outright reject the call, or is that how Samsung refers to sending a call straight to voicemail?

But that would block all incoming calls, not just for specific contacts. You could specify to allow calls from Starred Contacts only, but that would mean starring all of the contacts you want to get calls from, and not starring just a few, which could be pretty tedious to do.

I think you can adjust certain contacts if not mistaken

Maybe Samsung is different, but on Pixels you can allow calls from anyone, all contacts in your Contact list, or Starred Contacts only. What options do you see on yours?

Yeah, that's pretty much the same as mine. So in that situation, you can choose your Favorite Contacts to allow through the DND, but the OP wants to block only certain contacts. That would mean selecting all of the other contacts as Favorites to allow through DND, leaving the un-Favorited contacts blocked.

Thanks guys that wouldn't work either. I put my phone on DND every night and only a select few cab get through. I just want one person to go straight to VM. You used to be able to do this, I'll look on playstore for an app to do it. Thanks

Did you already test the Block function to see if it actually routes the call directly to voicemail?

The block function doesn't register the call at all, I still need the call to register.

I'll have to test this but it should send it to voice mail , that's the function of things listed on DND to not be disturb but still come through

DND doesn't go straight to VM, it rings, I tested it. But block doesn't. When a number is on block, the phone doesn't ring, it doesn't go to VM, and there is no history of call.

Double check you excluded that person to call go through on DND it shouldn't ring if they were on DND .

Google's Contacts app has that option.
I have both Samsung's and Google's Contact apps which are synced with each other.

Maybe it will work if you have both, maybe you'll have to resort to using only Google's app.

ETA, sorry! I failed to circle the proper selection. It's sixth on the list, of the three dot menu, "ROUTE TO VOICEMAIL".

The Google app worked except for it says voicemail is being transcribed by youmail. I cannot find the VM that was left. Do you have to download youmail too to get your VMs?
