Strange App...com.eBay.carrier

In the list of apps in my application manager there is an app labeled com.eBay.carrier.

I do not have eBay installed and there is no icon for this app at all.

Anyone know what this is? Is it safe to uninstall?

Did you transfer data from your old phone? Some of the apps that were stored on my old phone on the SD card showed up weirdly named.

Looks like its a carrier app that shows up but is not "installed."

I'm seeing the same thing in my android files! Any idea what it is? Never used eBay on this device.

Did anyone buy their phone on ebay?

I did, and found this app about a month after purchase. Hope it's not recording all our keystrokes and sending info somewhere. I'll follow this to see if there are any updates.

It's most likely some preinstalled eBay app. I recall seeing eBay preinstalled on certain phones in the past. If you can't uninstall it in Settings>Apps, then you should be able to Disable it.
