Strange issue with new headphones

My new headphones seem to be triggering my VZW G3 into thinking it has a Mic and is opening some sort of voice command window. Attached is a screenshot of the voice command pop up.

Anyone have this issue? I wouldn't care so much if the pop up didn't turn my music off randomly when it opened.

Make sure the headphones are pushed all the way in. Push hard and the will be a click as the plug snaps in place. The technical explanation is that a headset plug with microphone is longer and has 4 connections on the plug. Headphones have 3 connections. If the plug isn't push all the way in the phone will think the left headphone is a microphone. You will also hear static because the connection is lose. So push the plug in until you hear the click and then everything will be good. Enjoy your music.
