Strange Message

Mine did that but now seems to have stopped. The only security software on here is the pre-installed LookOut app that you can't uninstall.

This is a bug that samsung has already fixed by update. I think Verizon got this update already, the MJ7 build. Mine is still MJ5. Waiting for AT&T to release the update.

I get the same message. The phone was brand new out of the box and I got it when setting it up. Took the phone back and got a brand new replacement. I still got the same error and get it every time I start the phone from boot. I have not downloaded any apps. On both phones the sound from the earpiece is pretty bad when receiving phonecalls. Wonder if they are related?
Thanks.

When the notification comes up, pull down your notification tab, then where the notification appears, tap and hold on the notification (long tap). You will get a pop-up saying 'take me to the app' or similar that will give you the option to find out which app, tap that. I found it was Knox notifications on my Note III. Once you get to the App, force close, and clear data. Should stop it recurring.
I tried this step and it did not work. Like others, only happens when I connect to wifi.

I get that message too, and it pees me off.
The only app I have installed so far is Pandora, (and I'm sure I was getting the message before hand.

Ok I think I solved the issue guys it's needing permission from you to allow the app to run. Just like any app you download from app store. First go to settings then security then click on device administrators and check Knox and approve the application to run problem solved !!!!

This did not work for me.

This isn't a bug, it's Knox working the way it's supposed to. Your choices are A) grant Knox admin privileges, B) keep force stopping Knox every time this happens or C) root your phone and freeze Knox with Titanium Backup

I just got my samsung galaxy note 33 days ago and without me installing any app no third party app at all the stock has been stoc kand for some reason I keep getting the application has been forced to stop due to try to access whatever whatever and I don't understand why I'm getting this error over and over again it's very intermittent sometimes it happens when I connect to my wifi sometimes it doesn't but uh I don't know what we can do with Samsung needs to fix this because looks like a lot of people with this phone are having the same problem I this is my second note 3 the first one I return because I thought it was a problem with the phone apparently is not on this phone is brand new and its stock and it still getting the Error!

I was having the same problem (extremely irritating to a new Android migrant from iOS) and tried a chat with Samsung. The tech gave me the following solution and so far it has worked. Might work for y'all as well and NO INFO was lost in doing this. She called it Wiping the cache partition. I'm with AT&T, but not sure that would make a differences. You do have to have about 4 more fingers than you were born with so practice before actually doing it.

1. Power the device off (remove and re-insert the battery).
2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.
3. When the first boot screen displays; release only the Power key.
4. When the Android system recovery menu displays; release the Volume Up and the Home key.
5. Navigate with the Volume keys to the wipe cache partition option and press the Power key to select.
6. Press the Power key to reboot system now.

Good luck and hope it works.

It doesn't matter the carrier it's from the preloaded Knox Security app that you can't uninstall. Recent updates should have taken care of it.

I looked at this, but backed carefully away. The warning for Activate device administrator for Knox says that it can:

  • Erase all data - without warning!!!
  • Change the screen unlock password
  • And other scary things..............

Not for this little Black Duck.
Your only quoting part of it
Erase all data - without warning

Erase all data
Erase the phone's data without warning by performing a factory data reset.

So it doesn't ask 'are you sure you want to erase all date' 3 times before you erase all data.
For some people that will be bad. For others not a big deal.
Just depends if you need to be checked on every time you make a step.

I unchecked it and that deactivated KNOX and stopped the error message. So far 8 hours without error.
