Strange WiFi Findings

I have a very strong signal in my place and have noticed that if I hold the phone in landscape with my left hand I can effect the wifi the same way the vids floating around for 3G problems do. Just by cupping the back with my hand behind the earpiece I can make it drop 2-3 bars standing right next to the router and once I pull my hand away it comes back instantly. Anyone else seeing this problem?
