Streaming movies from PC to Photon

Wanted to see if anyone can point me in the right direction. basically im looking for streaming server app that will stream both tv , from a tuner card , and movies , most of which are in avi format from my pc. Ive been using orb which works pretty well for TV but hate that I cant FF or RW when watching movies. Also been using GMote with Daroon player which will kinda let me FF and RW through a movie but it takes a REALLY long time to do it. This is my first android phone , previously a pre- user , and ive been enjoying it so far except I love to watch tv and movies at work as was able to do this flawlessly using an app called Kalemsoft on my palm pre - and have been looking through forums , Google searches and android market with no luck. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I'd give Orb Live a try. Install the app on your PC, and you can configure your TV tuner, point to video, stream Hulu, etc. The app is $9.99 in the Market, but it's a one-time purchase so not too bad.
