Ok so here is my dilemma. I got the thunderbolt as soon as it came out because my droid 2 was stolen last November and I have been on blackberry and wanted android bad. Now the first one I had met an early end on the sidewalk and was replaced with a brand new one. Now this one I have has terrible signal strength and Horrid battery ( 2-3 charges a day), also the mic on video recording just may as well not work it is so bad. What should I do. Should I get a new one under the 14 day plan? Return it and wait for a bionic? ( thunderbolt is better than the lg and Samsung imho). I get the 14 day because this one came from insurance and not Verizon so they did not count it. Should I wait for a software update and ride through? Also they made an error and did not use my upgrade hehe so I can still upgrade in July so that changes some things. I think I can still upgrade because the my Verizon online says 7/6/11 and contract end date 11/6/11 so if not I will be mad lol. Any ideas? Wait for July with my tb?

This is really your decision. I am getting atleast 10 hours of battery use, which is acceptable for me on this phone. The pros far outweigh the cons. There are lots of tips to improve battery life. If you have a July upgrade, you can sell this for probably $400 bucks at that point in time. No reason to return in my opinion.

Also, you should really try rooting, it opens up a new world, gets rid of VZW bloatware, and improves battery life. It's like buying a Dell laptop, then wiping clean with a fresh windows install and ignoring all their BS software.

sounds like you should wait return it and wait for the DBionic. Why suffer?

full disclosure,,, i almost pulled the trigger on the TBolt and decided to wait it out for the DBionic while riding my 27 month old Storm 1.

what do you gain by holding onto the TBolt?

Would you recommend the easy root option that just came up on xda?
