I performed a reset of my Watch 4 Classic and reinstalled the Wear app the other day. Many of us have been having issues if we are also in the Beta and running on eSim.

Now, my watch and app are back to operating correctly. However, the watch is stuck (in the background) on a Google notification.

"Completing Setup - Installed 2 out of 3 Applications"

This is not affecting my watch usage. However, I can't find anywhere in the Wear app or in the Play Store what app is trying to install. Any ideas where I would find this?

It's trying install whatever back it has , try clearing cache then force stop play store if still happening then clear data and force stop it.

clear cache on the watch? it literally was just reset 2 days ago.
force stop play store in the watch? on the phone?

edit: I was able to locate how to force stop the play store via the Wear app. the notification is gone. we'll see how long it lasts.

I would try both phone and watch play store
I had this happen on phone after a reset clearing play store and force stop

interesting...I can't access storage in the Play Store on the watch. I can force stop it. even after clearing the cache partition on the watch, the notification returned.

one obvious solution is to block notifications from the Play Store

Try from the phone then

I did. that didn't work. what did work was removing my watch from the Wear app and adding it back (including resetting the watch). thanks for the assist.

Good to know welcome!

Ok, so my fix was temporary. Once I rebooted the phone the crashing returned.

Confirmed that it is an eSim problem, in combination with the beta. I finally gave up waiting on a fix and went to TMO and got a physical sim. Problem solved. I can only imagine what other issues might appear across the mobile device world (Apple and Android) as eSim becomes more prevalent. It seems as if it isn't quite fully-baked, yet.
