i did the bamf gb rom and when it rebooted i am stuck on a wallpaper. no lock screen. no anything. just wallpaper. how in the hell can i get around this?
i tried recovery boot but it keeps wanting to load the img file.

pull the battery from your phone, wait a min, put it back in.

Connect your phone to cpu, mount as disk drive, then erase or rename the pg05img.zip file from sd card root.

Did you flash the MR2 radio already? Or only bamf 2.0?

If you flashed the radio already, i would suggest booting into recovery, wipe data, cache, and dalvik 3 or 4 times each !!!! then flash bamf 2.0 rom, and reboot. Leave the phone alone for a couple minutes to settle in, and allow plenty of time for first boot up (ten to fifteen min).

yes, pg05img is the radio. always delete it from the memory card after you're done using it.

the radio is the pg05img isnt it?

Yes,... well, you put the file there didnt you?

if a file is named pg05img.zip and placed on root of sd card, it will be found and installed in hboot. it doesnt have to be a radio but in this case it is.

I guess what you did was put the new mr2 radio on your sd card, as well as the bamf 2.0 rom zip, and got ready to flash them both.

Anyway - you can't go into recovery with volume down and power keys if there is a pg05img.zip file on the root of sd because it will be found and you will either have to install it or reboot.

Well, sounds like I'm toast. I already removed pg05img.zip on my sd card and still stuck. Help, guys. :(

My computer doesn't recognize the phone to go into disk drive mode. Really need help to get the radio file deleted so I can load again. I have the same wallpaper problem.

you have a pc? might need to install drivers or something?

where are you at - rooted, s-off, with a rom flashed?

explain what you did so we can help

I reflashed the GB radio just like everyone did, wiped the dalvik cache, data and cache, flashed the bamf_2.0_beta5 ROM and all I got is the frozen wallpaper.

Update:
I was able to access my phone now. (by calling it). Tried to restart on Recovery and now, it froze. :(

Here's what I mean:
P1000439.jpg

I pressed/clicked on Recovery and it just stuck there. :(

Already deleted the GB radio on my microsd. (If that gonna matter)

Rooted with GB preview 3 flashed. The HTC wallpaper is all that comes. No response from the status bar or any buttons. I forgot to erase the old radio file so I can't recover.

And I also didn't flash the GB radio first. I still have the newest Froyo radio file still on the card with no way to get it off it seems.

okay you flashed the new mr2 radio - then you rebooted, erased the file, and booted into recovery mode? before it froze?

here is what i would do, dunno if it will work for you, but i would pull the battery if you havent already, restore a backup, and check what the radio version says. if it's the new mr2 radio, i would boot back into recovery, wipe everything multiple times, and then flash the rom and see if it goes thru correctly.

if the backup you restore shows you're using a different radio, i would flash the rom first after wiping everything 2+ times, reboot, let everything settle down, and then boot into hboot and flash the radio afterwards, reboot, and allow everything to settle again.

you need to erase that file to access recovery mode from a powered down state, as you seem to know. you can place the sd card in a card reader or another phone, if possible.

you'll have to do something to get to recovery mode and restore a backup, it sounds like.

if you try to install gb bamf again, i would flash the rom first without the radio file on the root of sd card, reboot, and then place the radio on sd card and flash in hboot bc if there is a problem like this you will be unable to reach recovery with that radio file present.

seems like you've got this figured out tho.

I will have to try the card in a different phone tomorrow. Do you think it will work if I put the card in my digital camera?

Tried that again just now but still didn't work. Only way I can get through it is by calling it then everything freezes up again. LOLz :(
