stuck on wallpaper

I will have to try the card in a different phone tomorrow. Do you think it will work if I put the card in my digital camera?

as long as it mounts on your cpu, you can edit what's on the card, so i would say probably yes, at least it's worth a shot if that's what you have.

Actually, it already freezes up once I clicked that Recovery button. :(

ok so you flashed the radio in hboot, rebooted your phone, TRIED to reboot into recovery to flash the rom, but it froze????

in this case, i would Restore the last froyo backup you made, let it boot up, check the radio to see if its the new mr2 radio

if it is: make sure pg05img.zip is not on root of your sd card, power down, power back up into hboot with volume down and power button pressed together, boot into recovery from there, wipe data, cache, and dalvik 3 times each, and flash bamf 2.0 zip, reboot, allow for 15 minutes to load the rom, and let sit for a couple minutes once it's on to let the kernel etc settle in.

if you have the old froyo radio still: nothing you flashed took. remove pg05img.zip from sd card, restore back up, boot into recovery, wipe everything a few times, flash the ginger bamf rom, reboot. wait a few. THEN put the radio file on the root of your sd card, boot into hboot, and accept the installation prompt. reboot.

i THINK that oughta do it. let us know pls.

Tried that again just now but still didn't work. Only way I can get through it is by calling it then everything freezes up again. LOLz :(

you can't get to hboot?

when phone is off, hold volume down and power together until the phone turns on to hboot screen (white with skateboarding androids at the bottom).

what does it say there?

Says my radio is 1.39.00.0508w
I guess my radio didnt go through. So, do I have to install again that GB radio or just go back to Recovery?

If you booted up ok, you don't have to restore a backup.

I would boot into recovery mode, flash the gb bamf rom you want after clearing data, cache, and dalvik 3 times each, then reboot after the installation.

Allow a few minutes to settle in, then place the PG05IMG.zip mr2 radio file on the root of your sd card, and boot into bootloader - select hboot - volume up to accept the radio installation - let it do it's thing, reboot, and allow to settle again for a minute or two.

You should be good after that.

Ok, lemme try that.

I am still stuck on the wallpaper. I have the old radio file on the card so I can't get into recovery. Neither my old phone or digital camera will let me get into the card to erase the radio file. I hook them up to the computer with the same result. I really need help.

You need to borrow another phone to put the sd card into or purchase a sd card reader with usb (they're really cheap... at least, mine is really cheap).

I tried it on my brothers Droid X but either I didn't install the driver correctly or my computer sucks. Radioshack has a cheap card reader I will try.
